Pinion Shaft Assembly

Overview

It comprises of :

• Pinion (duly hardened material, with 55 teeth)
• Bearing (suitable as per drg.) = 02 no.
• Shaft with Key way(EN 8) = 01 no.
• Housing with Flange(C.I.) = 01 no.

Function/Use

This is one of the most crucial part of Electronic Rotary Packer. Pinion Drive Assembly drives the packer at the top of pinion drive assembly i.e. the cornered shaft with key and flange is oined with the aluminium pulley with A section 3 grooves. At the bottom part of the Pinion Shaft Assembly is adjoined with 15 teeth pinion which is the female part and to which it is joined is the Male part. The female and the male pinion is connected to the gear box. MOC of pinion is generally EN 24 as the hardness of this material is 40 – 50 HRC which makes the Pinion hardened and not easily breakable.
